Can you refill those 1 pound propane bottles that you use for your lanterns, portable heaters, stoves and grills?

The short answer is no, most of the time. If you are refilling the disposable one pound pre-filled bottles the answer is “you shouldn’t.” If you are referring to the “refillable 1 pound bottles” like Mr. Heater’s Fuel Keg and Flame King’s refillable propane cylinder, the answer is yes.

My recommendation is to use the refill adapter that is made by the same company that makes the cylinder. That way you are safe. I made a video on my first time refilling Fuel Keg. Check it out below or on my YouTube Channel @trezstech
