If you have home video security cameras, or if you have a home security system, make sure you have a subscription that gives you the ability to access the video footage. Many cameras give you the ability to see the “live view” but you need a subscription to access the recorded videos. Don’t go on the cheap, pay the monthly fee. If you ever neeed it you will be glad you did. Even better, if your cameras also have a security system that they work with like SimpliSafe and Ring, go ahead and spring for the security system. If you go with monthly monitoring on your security system you an also give the call center access to your cameras in the event that the system is triggered. Check with your company and their plans to see if this is an option.
