I started having an electrical issue with our Liberty. When driving with the lights on, the lights would flicker, turn off and back on very quickly. It only happened when the lights were on. At first I thought it might be a short, so being the shadtree mechanic/electrician that I am, I decided to investigate. Google suggested that is might be a relay, but where are the relays. I started looking and found three locations. I also was able to pseudo replicate the flickering and found a relay under the dash that would click when I flashed the lights. Maybe that was the one.
My next issue was how to get it out. I ended up buying a relay removal tool from Amazon and it did the trick. I was surprised that my local auto parts stores did not stock the tool. I didn’t video the removal and replacement because the most important thing I learned was where the fuses and relays were.
