Craftsman Pole Saw

My “new” pole saw is almost a year old and I’m finally getting around to unbox and use it. A lot of things happened this year and I just had to put it on my back burner. Now it is fall and I have tons of trimming to do. Today I’m trimming bushes just to see how the pole saw handles. I found it easy to assemble and lightweight. Craftsman says that the included 4Ah 20 volt lithium-ion battery is good for 325 cuts on a single charge. Based on my first time use, I believe they are right on the money. My only “criticism” is that you have to manually lubricate the chain/bar. That being said, I lubed the chain 5 or 6 times on this project, even though the manual said I could get by with only one lubrication. Truth be told, I’d error on the safe side and lube more often. The good news with the manual lubrication is that when you are packing up after use, you just wipe off the chain and bar and you don’t have a tool dripping oil all over the place. The model I purchased is the CMCCSP20M1 and it included an additional extension to increase the length to 14 feet. It also included a 4Ah lithium-ion battery, battery charger, hex/screwdriver tool to adjust the chain tension, small empty oil bottle and a very thorough owners manual.

I’m giving the Craftsman V20 powered cordless pole saw Trez’s stamp of approval.
