After spending over 40 years in technology, the one thing that stood out to me is that almost everyone is intimidated by technology. Not everyone, but almost everyone. Most learn just enough to get by and if they get stuck they call a local computer guy or their IT department. The end result is that when they hear about smart home technology they close their eyes and ears because it is too difficult/complicated. The reality is that just about anyone can use smart home technology, even you.
